This award is presented at the MD4 Convention. The contestants are from each District’s prior year:

  • Lion of the Year
  • Leo of the Year
  • Club of the Year
  • Kay and Dennis Fukushima Couple of the Year
  • Small Club project of the year
  • Medium CLub project of the year
  • Large Club project of the year

ONE PROJECT PER Category ON APPLICATION.

I hope we can show a video/picture presentation of the nominated Lions and Clubs and Projects just like the Hollywood Oscars, so in case that happens, photos with the apps would be great. The Master of Ceremonies will assemble the non-Lion judges to determine the winners.

b. MD4 Leadership/Membership Awards:

  • Outstanding District GMT Coordinators
  • Outstanding GMT Club Membership Chairs
  • Outstanding GMT/GLT Region and Zone Chairs

c. MD4 Excellence Awards:

  • MD4 Excellence Awards criteria are posted in the MD4 directory.
  • Two awards for each district up to 1200
  • Three awards for district with over 1200 to 2000 members.
  • Four awards for district with over 2000 members as recording on December 31. This year.

These need to be sent to Cass Cara by the end of the calendar year to have time to prepare them for the following COG.

Lions can only receive this once in their lifetime.

The district cabinet will review all nominations and select the recipient(s) at a regularly scheduled meeting of the cabinet. The selection shall require a majority of votes cast of the cabinet members present.

The form is for your convenience, you do not have to follow verbatim.

A short essay will do. Your choice.

d. Presidential /Leadership Awards:

The new application will come from IPID Howard Hudson, you will go through him, he will submit the names on your behalf and you have to wait to hear back.

Presidential Award: Should be considered for Lions who distinguish themselves for their exemplary service that significantly strengthens their community or our Association by: being personally involved in club service projects, being supportive of the programs of Lions Clubs International, being supportive of LCIF and having sponsored at least one new member. Additionally, consideration should be given for any Lion who has contributed to the retention of members and the reduction of membership losses. District Governors will qualify for a presidential award if they achieve the goals throughout the year necessary to do so. Details are available at http://www.lionsclubs.org/EN/member-center/dreamachiever.php.

e. LCI Awards

Lions Clubs International offers various award programs to recognize Lions clubs and districts for their accomplishments.
