About Council Meetings
There are 4 Council of Governors Meetings each year. The Organizational Meeting held the first weekend in August; The Fall meeting held in October/November; the Mid-Winter meeting held the two days prior to MD4con; and the Joint meeting held in May/June. Any Club or District may bid to host the meetings.
The Council Chair presides over each meeting.
The District Governors, Vice District Governors and select MD4 Committee members are required to attend such meetings.
All Lions are welcome to attend.
The Caucus is always scheduled on the Friday of the 3 day meetings (Friday - Sunday) and on Tuesday of the 2 day Mid-Winter Meeting, and if any Lion has something to bring before the Council they may after seeking approval from the Council Chair. Please include your District Governor and the MD4 Office with a formal request. During the Caucus Lions are encouraged to take the mic on any issues brought forward for discussion by the Council Chair.

LCIF-VSP Gift Certificate Request Form 2021
VSP has partnered with the Lions Clubs International Foundation to provide adults and children in need with access to affordable or no-cost eye exams and eye glasses through local participating VSP Vision Care providers. Gift certificates are available to individuals in select Lions districts throughout the United States. More information about the VSP Gift Certificate program can be found at https://vspglobal.com/cms/vspglobal-outreach/gift-certificates.html.
Note: All gift certificates will be issued to one representative in your district. If you are requesting certificates for your Lions Club event, please contact your District Governor or District Sight Chair for availability.

Peace Poster and Peace Essay
This International Peace Poster and Peace Essay (for the visually impaired), Contest is held once a year for children 11-13 years of age (please see the rules). These students are tasked with applying their vision of peace set to a yearly theme by Lions Clubs International. The artwork and the essay are judged on Originality, Expression of the theme, and technical ability. All children meeting the age criteria are encouraged to enter. Click for more information.
